Happy Mother's Day and a little something extra for John Cusack fans
Hello everyone and Happy Mother's Day!
There is no real purpose to this blog but to (1) wish everyone a very happy Mother's Day and (2) share this video someone sent me. When I saw it, I knew I had to share it with Mannie, but I know that John Cusack has a lot of fans in the BFZ so I didn't want to hog it all to myself.
Enjoy! It's about 3 minutes long and you'll need the sound to really enjoy it.
This would actually get me to go watch Casino Royale.
Hiya Famin, thanks for the Mother's Day wishes!! I hope you have a great day too, although I'm sorry you have to visit your mom in the hospital. I hope the doctors can help her and she is able to come home soon!!!!
Mannie will love that vid when she sees it tomorrow!
Happy Mother's Day to everyone else here and their mother's too!
Thanks Marci, my son came up and surprised me (from Hamilton) and later today we are going to meet my mom and dad for dinner! I hope you have a great day too!
Well, the challenging part about the video was trying to recognize all the movies. Since we have John Cusack movie marathons here from time to time, I recognized most of them. There were a couple I was unsure of. Someone did an enormous amount of work on that video! Very well done.
I actually liked the remake of Casino Royale.
I hope your mother makes improvement every day Famin. It is difficult to see her like this, I know. Take care.
Thanks Molly, Marci, Cindy, and Furley. It's been a very trying weekend for me. Yesterday my brother and I went over prelim stuff for my mom's Living Will and we're trying to get her affairs in order. My mom thinks--or maybe hopes--that she'll die very soon. But in all likelihood she'll continue to suffer like this, slowly getting worse and worse, for years. It's been overwhelming for me, and not just emotionally, because we're trying to figure out what her long-term prognosis is and if she's independent enough to do without an in-home nurse or going to a nursing home. And where's the money for all this going to come from anyway? It's all very, very stressful. And then I had several relatives call me up and yell at me because I hadn't called them. Well, I hadn't called them because the only free moments I have are around 7am my time! Arrgh. I'm just so worn out. I went to bed at 7:30pm both last night and the night before. Meanwhile, my brother has forbidden me from paying for my ticket without trying to go to court first (because of what it'll do to our insurance rates). Who has time for that?! I can't handle everything and my 60-hour work week all at once. It's just too much. I don't know what to do or where to go or who to call.
Okay, I'm done venting. But thanks guys for the get-well wishes. And Molly, I'm glad you were able to see your son yesterday! What a nice present.
Awe Famin. I'm SO sorry to hear about your weekend. I wish everything was going better for you or there was something I could do for you. Keep us updated. If I can find a way to clone you, I'll let you know.
Thanks for the video. You knew I'd love it! If he was in Casino Royal, I'd have definately seen it!!!
Famin - I hate to see you going through all of this and wish there was something I could do to help. At least you know where you can come to vent all you want. You have many empathetic friends here. All my best wishes to you and you family.
Oh Famin, I'm so sorry that you and your mom and the rest of your family are going through this. I will definitely be thinking of you, and please let us know if we can do anything to help you (beside just brightening your day a little!). Remember how much we love you!
Thanks guys! You do indeed brighten my day A LOT (which is significant today considering how hard it's been raining)! And I really appreciate it.
This past week has been pretty much a life-altering experience. I don't think I'm grown up enough to handle all these changes! But it helps to know I have friends in my corner. And John Cusack. LOL!
