Attention FNL Fans! I'm Going to Paley Fest and I Need Your Help!
First off, a moment of pure unadulterated SQUEE, please.
I'm going to Paley Fest! SQUEEEEE!!!
I'm done now.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get tickets to the Buffy Reunion. They must've sold out in minutes! But I will be going to the Friday Night Lights panel. I'm a little amazed that it wasn't sold out as well, but I'm not going to question my good fortune!
So...this is where you all come in. I need questions to ask! And nothing I can think of--other than whether we'll get a Season 3--are coming to mind.
As of now, the panel will feature Jason Katims (remember him from Roswell?) and Jeffrey Reiner, the Executive Producers, and Zach Gilford ("Matt Saracen"), Jesse Plemmons ("Landry Clarke"), and Aimee Teegarden ("Julie Taylor") from the actors. They may add panelists later, but it seems that this is it.
So, send me your questions! If they're really good, I might actually ask one.

Thank you, John! Here's hoping my flight is on time so I don't get a ticket as I speed through rush hour traffic to get there and find parking. Uh, not that I speed. Ever.

Uh huh. I believe you. So, , , this is a convention thing?

Good luck at the event Famin. I don't watch the show, but you could ask about a specific story arc.

That's awesome Famin, I'm so happy for you. I'm sure you'll have a great time as long as you don't get any speeding tickets, not that you ever speed. LOL

John--not exactly a convention. The Paley Center (formerly the Museum of Television and Radio) hosts these events regularly in their auditorium. Then, every year in the Spring, they have an event every night in March (and maybe April) during the Paley Festival. (If you click on the link in my blog, it'll tell you more.) So, it's just the one event per night.
The events are recorded and the videos are available on their site. They haven't done one on Farscape yet (although they did a BSG one last year), but there might be other shows showcased that you watch.
Speaking of Farscape, I went to the Farpoint convention yesterday and saw a lot of Farscape merchandise on sale. Thought you should have been there.
Thanks lacey! I would ask about a story arc, but since the show might be canceled, I don't know what to ask about! They're all sort of up in the air. I could ask Aimee if Julie would ever grow up and if Julie and Matt would ever get back together again. But I'm sure someone else would ask that!
I could ask how they managed to keep the show on such a high level even though so many staff members were squired off to Bionic Woman, and what kind of effect that had on running the show and the storylines.

Well we know that Bionic Woman probably won't be back, so perhaps they'll get renewed. The fact that they're going Paley, must mean that they're coming back in the Fall. No network is going to send a show up for promotion unless it's going to be around come Fall. That's my thinking. Of course I'm a logical person, not a network exec.

Famin --
Even if the show doesn't come back (and I am trying so hard not to think like that), you could still ask if they were comfortable (ie: regret, were pleased with, etc) with the Landry/Tyra murder story arc, especially in light of the criticism that it seems to take away from the core of the show.
Lacey -- I think, though I am not certain, that they book the shows for the festival far in advanced. It is entirely possible that the show could not make it back on the air and it still be a part of the festival.

That sucks...

Lacey --
Yeah, it does suck. But there is also another way of looking at it still being involved in the festival...it is still on the bubble and no decision has been made therefore, why not promote the show. -- At least that is how I prefer to think about it!
