OK, now how did Jericho best Battlestar Galactica by 3 spaces?
Also, for as followed and long running as it is shouldn't Doctor Who be a lot higher than 22?

This proves what I've known for quite some time: I am not a TV cult type, I've viewed only 3 of the 30 programs.

I think Jericho was probably rushed onto the list after it got that surprise renewal.

If that's true, I'd love to know what show got booted off to make room.

I suspect that, by the next time this list is done, the momentary trendiness reaped from its successful grassroots resurrection will have waned and Jericho will drop a few notches.

For the record, I'm a big fan of eight of these shows (Absolutely Fabulous, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks, Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Twilight Zone, The Simpsons and Lost) and a more casual fan of six of them (Strangers with Candy, The Avengers, Pee-Wee's Playhouse, Jericho, Monty Python's Flying Circus and Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

Yes, Star Trek doesn't make either group.

One final thought: There's an H.R. Pufnstuf cult?

Call me a cultist as I am a fan of half of the shows. Strangers with Candy, AbFab, Mary Hartman, Firefly, Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks, Veronica Mars, Family Guy, Lost, Buffy, The Simpsons, X Files, MST3K, Battlestar and Twilight Zone.

Buffy, The Simpsons and Mystery Science Theater would rank in all time top 10.

Gotta say I am surprised to see Farscape and Jericho ahead of Battlestar Galactica.

I,too, was surprised not to see Angel anywhere on the list. Not surprised to see Buffy as third. Star Trek was my first love in a tv show. Love X-Files. Never have gotten to see Farscape. I will have to watch the DVDs to see how good it is. I love Twilight Zone and The Prisoner. Guess I am a total geek since I have loved most of the list. I can admit I own the box set of Buffy DVDs.

I watched literally half of thes shows. I was a kid watching Quantum Leap. a preteen watching Xena (what a lesbian following). A teen watching Freaks and Geeks, I love/miss V.Mars. Mystery Science Theater and Monty Python was amazing. And my personal fave...Buffy! Come on, who could forget the musical episode?

Hey Chappy, what is HR Pufnstuf (you know I had to ask)?

Hey Chappy, what is HR Pufnstuf (you know I had to ask)? - wycked1

I knew you had to ask!

It was one of those live action Sid & Marty Krofft Saturday morning spectacles that featured actors in garish, spongy costumes and lots of bad puns.

Their shows were a lot of fun, though. Other Krofft productions included Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, The Bugaloos and Land of the Lost.

Their most bizarre (no small feat) was perhaps Lidsville, in which a boy (Butch Patrick of The Munsters) finds himself in a world populated by anthropomorphic hats. Not weird enough for you? It also featured Charles Nelson Reilly (may God rest his soul).

If you have Netflix and way too much free time, Pufnstuf and some of the other Krofft shows are available on DVD.

Pretty good list. I don't agree with some of it, but that's OK. It certainly does highlight some of the more creatively done shows that have been on television in the last 15 years or so.

Interesting that most of them are sci-fi in nature, don't you think?

I don't know the criteria for making The List, but I am surprised that Saturday Night Live is not there.

No Roswell? I'm sure quite a few TV execs overwhelmed with tobasco bottles might disagree
