Happy holidays, everyone.
The tides have changed for jailbird Brad Bellick. May the circle be unbroken. I wonder how long an ex ass-guard is gonna last in the Big House. Don't pick up the soap.
Again we're off for hiatus, but this time we'll be back much earlier, with a recap [airing] Jan. 22! Then new episodes begin Jan. 29. We're still shooting here in Dallas — we've got two weeks off for the holidays, then back to work in early January — so we didn't get the three-month break this time. I think it'll be better for everyone. It's nice to gain a little anticipation with a hiatus, but three months was ridiculous! This is a little more like it.
I thought [the fall finale] was a great episode. Surprises galore, turncoats, reversals of fortune... a lot like politics these days!
I'm loving what the writers are giving Bellick this year. He's gotten to travel from the depths of despair to being $5 million richer to being put into his worst nightmare — back in gen pop in the prison where he once ruled so ruthlessly. Payback is hell. If you ask me, he deserves every bit of it.
By the way, I was not directing an episode; I was shadowing Kevin Hooks as he directed an episode. I was being a fly on the wall, watching and listening, hoping to understand more of what the process is to create an hour of episodic television. I learned that the art of planning and the art of improvisation are equally important. Kevin is so good at it he makes it look easy, but he couldn't fool me — 14 hours a day from 6 am to 7 or 8 pm, or sometimes longer, for eight days straight... it's hard work. Who knows what the future holds for me as a director? It was an enlightening experience. I hope to continue to shadow other directors if the opportunity appears, and to continue learning about the process.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. I myself have a lot to be grateful for.
Follow your bliss, Wade

Good to hear from you again, Wade! I have to admit, although Bellick may deserve what he's getting, I still kinda feel bad for him. But I guess in the same way I felt bad for T-bag when Bellick was torturing him. Will we see Bellick through the rest of the season? It was so awesome seeing Fox River again
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Howdy, Wade!! I have to say the fall finale was just great, loved the scene with you and Avocado. The look on Bellick's face was priceless. I felt sorry for him for about 1 second, then I just laughed my @$$ off. I am looking forward to watching the Jan 29th episode. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Melissa

Bellick needs a new lawyer! I was one of many questioning the logic of your character's storyline on the PB blog (he ended up in prison pretty darn fast!), but it sure made for some great acting moments for you. No matter how depraved Bellick gets, he still loves his mother--sounds like a perfect candidate for the therapist couch. Look forward to your return next month. Happy Chrismahanukwanzaakah to you and yours!

Thanks Wade for taking time to write this blog before the holidays.
The fall finale was great. Yes, a lot of action and surprises. I hope Bellick somehow gets out of the situation he is in.
Have a great Holiday!!!

Hi Wade! It's always nice to read your blog! I have a question: Aren't you jelous at Went for him getting the pretty girl? Wouldn't it be nice for Bellick to have a love interest? I think it would be cool Happy Holidays!

Hi, Wade
I hope you read this as it has been quite a while since your blog. I got a little distracted with the death of a family member and the the holidays. I just wanted to say that I truly appreciate you taking the time to write the blog. It is always so interesting. As for Bellick, I can't hellp but to feel sorry for him! I wouldn't wish what he is going through on my worst enemy. It would be a hoot if he ended up in Michael's old cell and was able to escape. I, like many others, can hardly wait for the return of "Prison Break". It is by far one of my favorite shows!! By the way, you seem to have a lot of French fans!!

Mr. Williams,
Thanks so much for taking the time to write us all a blog. I'm enjoying reading your personal comments about the show. I also enjoy watching you on the show...we actually have Prison Break Night on a big 54 incher and the girls really enjoy ourselves. I couldn't believe it when he gave it to that other prisoner last week. Way to go for Bellick! lol.
On another note....I swear I saw you at a function on the 20th of January, in Dallas, dancing a few dances at a Burn's Night celebration (celebration of Robert Burns, the Scottish poet). I must admit that I didn't have the courage to approach the supposed you that I swear I saw until well after "you" left my eyesight and was gone. Could that have been you? I think the curiousity is killing me! Do you remember partying in a room full of kilt-clad men?
Forever a Fan, Christa in Dallas
