« Olivia Attacks This Blog

Hello TV Land!!

I'm Olivia Munn and this is my first blog for TV Guide... I'm so excited to reach out to my peers, aka, the entire TV-watching world.

In case you don't know me — and there's a good chance of that — I'm an actress and TV host. I have a recurring role on Nickelodeon's nighttime teen network, The N. It's a show called Beyond the Break and it's about amateur surf girls trying to break out... I play Mily Acuna, a local tough chick. And look for me in Rob Schneider's next film, Big Stan, coming out early next year.

Along with acting, I also became the face of the cable network G4. It used to be about video games and technology... and even though it's still about that, we've branched out to more general fare. I host three shows for them — The Daily Nut (podcast), Formula D and the main show for the network, Attack of the Show. AOTS is daily and kinda like Regis and Kelly meets TRL meets The Daily Show.

So now that you have a sense of what I do for a living, I can start blogging about the fun stuff...

I live in Hollywood and spend a lot of time with my boyfriend... You might know him.. He's kinda famous. His name is TiVo. I'm in love with him, haha.
Right now, some of my favorite shows are Las Vegas, Studio 60, The Daily Show, Bill Maher, Family Guy, Heroes, CSI... to name a few off the top of my head.
But, right now I'm in a big movie mode. The other day AOTS shot an entire show dedicated to Borat. G4 was the first in the nation to get a private screening of the movie before anyone else. We rented out an entire theater and invited fans to watch it with us. The movie was hilarious. Some say it's the "funniest movie ever." I don't know if I would say that. The movie was more scary. I couldn't believe the things he was getting away with. It was definitely a great movie and worth seeing. But, the funniest movie I've seen this year has got to be Little Miss Sunshine. Last night I saw Running With Scissors and it was really a brilliant movie. Annette Bening was ridiculously amazing and really delivered.

A lot of people have been sick at work, and I'm trying to stay healthy, so I'm gonna get to bed. Thanks so much for checking in with me. Hope life is great for all of you...

Glad to make your acquaintance Olivia Munn!

With your sense of humor you will fit in rather nicely here in the Blog Friendly Zone.

I'm not familiar with the show Beyond the Break but perhaps my son is. There are other actors and actresses here in the Community so you're not alone.

I watch a limited amount of TV (so why am I here, right?) and the shows I currently watch regularly are: Grey's Anatomy, Everybody loves Chris, The Game, Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls.

Hope life is great for all of you...

I certainly look forward to blogging with you and yes, my life is pretty good right now - thanks for asking :-x

Hi Olivia!

Welcome to the site! I watched Beyond the Break this summer and I liked it. It left us with a cliff hanger and I don't know when it will be back.

I watch just about everything, but my favorites are Heroes, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, LOST and Grey's Anatomy.

I hope to read your blogs in the future. :D

YAY! One of my favorite hosts from one of my favorite shows has her own blog! Welcome to TV Guide Olivia, I have to say that I really enjoy AOTS, I try to catch it every night. Although I have to admit, the only shows I'll watch before AOTS are Lost and BSG, sorry. Thanks go to you and Kevin, crazy Zach, Wil, Layla and Blair for making AOTS so damned funny. Even my wife (who's not much of a gamer or into tech) really enjoys watching AOTS and feels like you bring a woman's touch to the show and that you definitely hold your own. Thanks for making it a show that we can both sit down and enjoy after work. I look forward to reading more of your blogs.

Hey, it looks like we share some similar tastes in TV. Heroes and Studio 60 have to be my favourite new shows this season.

I also agree with you on Borat, laughed a lot but that one hotel scene, makes me cringe.

Hope to hear more from you!
