Father, Daughter Team on New Episode of My Boys
Hey, everybody — Tomorrow night you will witness a legend. We have a guest star in the "Superstar Treatment" epsiode who has been a huge writer, producer, director and actor in this business forever.
His name is Jay Tarses. Just to name a couple of things he's done, he was the producer and writer of a little-known show, The Bob Newhart Show, and played Coach Bobby Finstock in Teen Wolf (yes!!!). He is also the father of our other executive producer, the equally legendary Jamie Tarses. It was pretty funny, actually, to witness his daughter as the boss of him on the set. Also on the great-news front, I just found out that My Boys has been picked up for nine more episodes! That's nine more episodes of pure comedy gold! Thank you, guys, for watching and supporting our show. Happy holidays, Jordana

I'm confused...first, I love this show! So I was happy when I saw that it got 9 more episodes. But, I just saw a commercial for next week in which it mentioned 2 new eps on Tuesday and then a season finale on Thursday. WHAT?!?!? Already!?!?!? Please tell me they just didn't word it well and the "finale" is really just the finale until the next 9 eps.

Hey, Jordana. I just stumbled across this blog. I wish I would've seen it earlier. I have been writing over on the TV show commentary board.
I had mentioned on the TV commentary board that the cast chemistry of your show is amazing! Everyone is so natural and funny. The quick comebacks are the best and come out so realistically. Sometimes it takes awhile for a cast to gel and make it believable that they've actually been friends for a long time- but the whole cast of My Boys came out swinging. I love when there are lines that if you don't pay attention you could actually miss it- because that's how it is in real life. You all are great at those.
I am glad I came across your blog because I think learning that almost the whole cast are stand up comedians explains some of that chemistry and timing that I love.
I am so glad your show got picked up for 9 more episodes. I am glad TBS gave original programming a try, I just wish they had more shows (at least 13) like regular network TV, so we could enjoy it longer!

Hi Jordana,
I have watched all of the episodes of My Boys and really enjoy watching it. I moved to Arizona in 1998 but I spent most of my life in Glenview, IL. In the episode where you accompanied your "boys" on their hunting expedition at the bar you were forced to talk to a character who was a total geek from Glenview wearing a really loud shirt. Glenview is a nice town to live and I thought it odd that your writers chose it to make fun of with that goofy character. Just wanted to put in my two cents about the reference to my home town.
