GW Stranglehold
Hey GW fans!
Tonight's episode #317 “Stranglehold” focuses on the spirit world and possession. This episode was really fun to do -- because we start branching into a new area of the mythology of Ghost Whisperer. The episode begins the unveiling of the phenomena of displaced spirits and possession. Eric Laneuville (who was nominated for an Emmy last season for directing an episode of LOST) directed this episode. Eric really did a great job.
P.K. Simonds (Executive Producer) and Laurie McCarthy (Co-Executive Producer) wrote it together. Tess Harper, who played Tommy Lee Jones' wife in this year's Academy Award Winning No Country For Old Men, is the guest star who plays the mom. She did a terrific job, don't you think?
Also in this episode we see the return of Weeds star Martin Donovan, returning as Tom Gordon, as well as Ignacio Serricchio (General Hospital) who plays Melinda’s brother, Gabriel. As for music- we feature a great song by Liz Stahler called “Someone You Love” (UnHolYHigHwaY Music). We also feature an independent artist called The Brightwings, with their song “All I Need.” We've just updated the Ghost Whisperer widget -- so check it out immediately if you haven’t yet at http://www.fansofgw.com/widget. And take a look at our Ghost Whisperer Season 3 Photo Showcase that will bring you up-to-date in preparation for the season finale. Check it out at http://www.fansofgw.com/showcase
Join us for the season finale of Ghost Whisperer, next Friday, May 16th at 8PM on CBS to get the final piece of the Ghost Whisperer puzzle. You will truly be surprised at what Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt) discovers during her journey in the spirit world.
Have a great week and be sure to check in next Friday night!

Can someone please tell me what happens after Melinda sees the blood seeping out from under the hotel room door and, after trying to open the door, realizes that it's being blocked by two (probably dead) feet? For some reason, my DVR shut off at 9:00 instead of 9:01. Thanks!

There was nothing for me to nitpick this week. However, I also wondered whose blood was behind the hotel room door and if he is dead? I assume that will be answered next week.
The "Stranglehold" episode involving possession topped the episode in which the bald guy with the tattoos possessed Jim. For viewers who have been following the series, the subplot involving Melinda's father and brother was great as well.
This was one of the best episodes of GW. I rank it right behind season one's finale (involving the doomed airplane) and before last season's finale (involving the international kids).

To the person that asked WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THE BLOOD/PERSON'S FEET (sorry didn't write down your name and once I go to "post reply" can't see other posts) - that was the beauty of it - CREDITS/END, and what we're going to get the answer to next week (at least I think that's what's meant by the comment by Kim & Ian to join the show next week for the season finale and "the final piece of the GW puzzle".
LOVED IT - was confused as to what was going on (love that too, when I can't readily guess!) and then when the displaced spirit bit happened just knew it was the spirit of the person that's supposed to have killed the boy taking over Melinda's dad. HOPE he's NOT dead - but sure seemed that was what was happening EXCEPT could have sworn his FEET MOVED.
Can't wait for next week - though hate thinking it's the finale - at least we can look forward to some answers AND the fall shows!

Thanks, Dorjean! I was afraid I had missed a crucial "clue" leading to next week's finale.
A huge "thanks" to CBS for renewing one of my favorite shows. Hopefully, they'll also renew Moonlight!
