In the Begining...

Hi, folks!

It's an absolute honor to work with TVGuide.com and begin a blog destined to all of you Food Network junkies out there!

I'm especially excited about interacting with viewers and answering any questions or even gossip about shows. For example, did you know that I am now dating Paris Hilton? OK, maybe not, but at least now I have the medium in which to start these rumors!

Speaking of rumors, the big buzz at FN this week are the Food Network Awards (April 15 at 9 pm/ET). The first time I heard about the awards I wondered things like, "What type of awards are being given out?" and "I want one, too!" Unfortunately, I don't qualify for these awards as they honor the people, places and products that are making a delicious difference in our world today. As I said, I don't qualify.

Nevertheless, I will be host on the red carpet and playing around with Emeril Lagasse (the host for the evening) during the ceremony. What you don't know is all of the secret stuff that was said behind the scenes before and during the event.... And I've got it all! Stay tuned!

Hello George. Congratulations on your blogging AND hosting gig. Every now and then I tune into the Food Network. I can't afford to do it very often because inevitably I end up rummaging around in the kitchen. Also I am completely frustrated by the sad fact that I can NEVER get anything to turn out even close to what I was just promised that practically any idiot could do. Nevertheless, as I said, every now and then I do enjoy the network. Jaime Oliver is probably my favorite chef. Again, congrats and maybe I'll tune in to see you and Emeril on the red carpet.

Hi George. Welcome to the blogs. I love to watch HOTS. I love watching the Food Network, period. I was wondering what the awards were all about. Now I know. I'm looking forward the show and to your red carpet interviews. Are you gonna have any mystery snacks for them to sample? Say hey to Paris for me.

George - WOW, great to have you onboard. Big fan of your show "Ham on the Street" and a huge fan of the Food Network. Glad to have you keeping us informed about the Food Network - don't let us FN junkies down!!

Great to have a food network blog. Especially because you are doing it, so I know it will be funny! And what good would dating Paris do you? She doesn't eat! Though maybe you could help her out!! Look forward to the rest of your blogs.

Greetings, George. I see you're now the host of "The Secret Life of..." I want to know what happened to Jim O'Connor? Why isn't he continuing as host? Anyway, congratulations on your new ventures at Food Network.
