And Things Start to Heat Up....
Hello, all you Hidden Palms fans!
My, but you are an exclusive lot. Perhaps a tad too exclusive. That might be why the network is now showing two episodes (that’s right, two original episodes back-to-back!) this Wednesday and next Wednesday, in the hopes that they can ignite Hidden Palms fever by the time our finale airs on July 4. (Cue fireworks here.)
That being said, I deeply appreciate all your comments and votes of confidence and will continue to blog no matter what. Or at least until TV Guide tells me to stop. Which might happen on July 5. We’ll see.
Anyway, let’s talk about our two upcoming episodes. I think you will enjoy them for the following reasons:
1. The mystery surrounding Eddie’s death deepens.
2. The adults start to become more of a factor in the developing events. Trust me, this is a good thing. Kids misbehaving is one thing, but when the adults go naughty, it’s a hoot!
So, here's the scoop:
• Cliff finally has it out with his mom’s sleazy boyfriend, Travis, and Sharon Lawrence turns in some epic work!
• Johnny and Greta continue to gaze longingly at each other. (What’s wrong with that?) And oh, by the way, did Greta kill somebody?!
• Johnny and step-father Bob (yours truly) have their day in the sun — and their moment of mutual hell.
• Nikki comes crawling back and gets real. Good for her!
• And Liza... Oh, Liza, what are you up to? Can you spell bombshell?
Sound fun? Check it out! Let me know what you think (love hearing from you guys), and as always, enjoy the show!
Till next week,
D.W.
The CW's Hidden Palms airs new episodes this Wednesday at 8 and 9 pm/ET.

D.W., one of our blog buddies put the word out a few days ago about the show being put back-to-back like this. I don't understand the CW's logic, but I seldom understand this network's logic, so that's nothing new!
I am looking forward to the remaining episodes and getting some answers to what happened to Eddie. Is he really dead? And if he is, how did he die?
I've really enjoyed this summer series and hope it will be back. Glad to hear that the adult roles are starting to develop a bit more. The younger actors just aren't experienced enough to do this alone!
Thanks for blogging with us - and I hope you'll continue to do so - even after Hidden Palms is over for the summer and you've moved on to your next project!

Bob, great teases! I can hardly wait for tonight's double-header. Bob and Johnny's golf game should be very interesting to see.
I hope the CW's plan works and the "Full Night Events" can spark some more interest in HP. I wouldn't mind spending a few more years in Palm Springs! Did you know there's actually a campaign to save the show? palms.svfan.com is basically the headquarters, I believe.
I'm looking forward to your next blog entry!

Thanks for the blog. After only 3 episodes, I'm in love with Hidden Palms. There has to be a Season 2!
Please tell Kevin Williamson that Hidden Palms fan's have started a campaign to save the show and to get a second season. Here's a wonderful fansite that started the campaign, palms.svfan.com. There's a petition; fans are also sending in letters and coconuts to let The CW exec's know that we love the show and want more than just 8 episodes.
I'm hoping that Kevin Williamson knows about the campaign so that he can put some pressure on The CW network into giving the fans what they want and that's a Season 2!!!!

midnighter: Kevin Williamson is aware of our campaign and very appreciative of all the fan's efforts in helping ensure this show continues.
D.W.: We really got to see you shine in the episode Mulligan last night. You and Taylor Handley played your pats so convincingly and with such heart I really felt the troubles your characters shared were genuine. Your scene with Gail O'Grady where you were trying to 'kill a bow' make me scream out loud in laughter.

Another fan of HP here, I'm glad there's word out about our Save Hidden Palms campaign. I just wanted to let you know the petition is almost at 3,000 signatures and that we're routing for a renewal. I absolutely love your character on Hidden Palms and hope to see him interact more with Johnny. You and Taylor have great chemistry as Stepson/Father.
Again just wanted to let you know that your fanbase is growing and there's a large group of us who are spreading the word about this Summer sizzler.
Here's hoping for the best!

Great call on hiring Minny Driver to sleep with Cliff. Im so sorry that you guys are at a series finale already but I think the show has great potential. Any show that has 5 to 6 major plot twists an episode is a definite must see.

This is the best show to hit the air this summer! So maybe I'm 16 and people will just say I enjoy teen dramas, but personally I think this is the most entertaining, intriguing show I've seen all season! I'm hoping the network sees all these positive comments and renews it for a second season!
