Hi Darclyte! You must have missed the tutorial that went around about Photobucket.
Well, let's start at the beginning (a very good place to start). You can use regular emoticons using the smilie button just above the Leave a Comment box. You probably already know about those.
You can add video from YouTube to your comment by a) finding the video on YouTube.com, b)clicking and copying the code listed in the "embed" section, then c) pasting it into your comment.
You can add images and small videostrips from Photobucket.com. It works in pretty much the same way: go to Photobucket, search for the image, then when the image pops up, below the image is the coding. Click on the coding for HTML code (Websites and blogs); clicking will automatically copy it. Then just paste it into your comment.
Typically, most of us post pictures from photobucket. You can go to the website and find an image (animated or still) and click once on it. Once you click on it, below the picture are 4 options for code to copy. You want the 3rd option, the HTML code.
There are other sites as well, but that's the one I use. Others can add more info if I've missed something.
Kewl! Thanks! I knew there was a way to do it correctly. When I tried to post an image or video, I would just get the URL to appear, and not the image. I was posting the link into the "url tag" using the button above the posting box. When I tried to just put the link on the page without using it, I obviously was just using the hyperlink and not the HTML code. I guess I was just full of:
I am not sure what to tell you since no videos are showing up for me today....weird huh? Usually they do and you can post from a number of places, YouTube is the most common. But anywhere they give you embed codes works.
You can post from Imageshack, Photobucket, or anywhere you can get the HTML links. Any basic HTML works here like < center > with no spaced to center your text and < /center > to end the centering of your text (or photo). The best way to get it is to try it.
I'm thinking she piddled herself. But even if not, it SURE looks that way. Which is how I felt not knowing how to post images. I really appreciate all the help!

Actually that happened some time ago when Panns gave us the tutorial, and Cindy followed up with a tutorial on some basic HTML codes. Even lurkers like me came out of hiding to have fun. For a while we became "fotobucket fiends" cutting and pasting images away!
Okay good, I'm glad the blame is going back to Panns and Cindy and not me for having taught Darclyte what little I know. Please let's keep this in mind as Darclyte rediscovers the dark side of life.
