Survivor - Amanda got robbed...AGAIN!!!
Amanda got robbed...again. I'm sorry but winning challenges is part of the game. I don't think someone who hasn't won at least 1 immunity challenge deserves to win. If winning challenges doesn't matter, then why do they even have them?
Amanda lasted 39 days in back to back seasons. Both times, she won the final 2 immunity challenges, and both times she lost. While the winner of Survivor:China may have been more deserving, no way was Parvati. I think again that the jury voted for Parv either because they were more friendly towards her, jealous of Amanda, or didn't like Amanda. I think her relationship with Ozzy may have hurt her.
There have been other Survivors where the "wrong" person won, but this one really irked me. I just don't know how Amanda having the Hidden Immunity Idol when she needed it (and it saved her,) and winning the final 2 immunity challenges didn't help her win. I mean, Amanda went all out to find the HII while Parv just sun bathed. Who played harder?
Amanda didn't receive any votes in China, even the skinny chick who hated being there got 1, but at least Amanda won $100,000 this time and probably $50,000 last time. That means that James won more money than Amanda. Again, just not fair.

I'm with you. We wanted Amanda to win...or maybe Cirie. I didn't want to see Parvati get it. I feel like Amanda keeps getting robbed too. Poor thing, though. I hope she doesn't try to do another edition for a long time. I don't think she could handle it!

Amanda just does a really poor job at tribal council of selling herself well. She didn't own her strategy well enough and that's what Parv did, which probably put her over the edge. By the end of it even I was ok with Parv winning, cause she owned up to what she did.
As for James winning most beloved player or whatever, I don't get it, to me, he is just isn't a very good mental player.

Bottom line- Amanda sucks at closing the deal. It's really unfortunate, because she deserved it so much more than Parvati.

I was disappointed as well, Darclyte. I was sure Amanda would win over Parv. Too bad we all weren't on the jury!

Bottom line- Amanda sucks at closing the deal.
But that shouldn't matter. They should win or lose based on merit. I had the final three in order of most deserving to least as Amanda, Cirie, THEN Parv.
Parv is a charity organizer and a flirt. BOTH of those help her to "close the deal." Amanda is a design student. So, because Amanda doesn't communicate herself as well as Parv then all that she did was for naught?

I understand what you are saying Darclyte, but if that was the case there would be no need for a jury- it would be decided only on merit by Probst. The fact is that at the end you have to sell yourself, because it ends up being about more than just wins and losses- it's how you played the game socially, emotionally, and mentally as well as physically. I totally and completely agree with you- Amanda should have won hands down if it was based soley on the number of challenges won and the idol being played. Unfortunately for us and Amanda, it's about more than that- and we have to stomach someone like Parvati, whose greatest effort during the whole game was suntanning (oh, and I forgot flirting, the deadliest of Survivor talents), walking away with $1M.

Parv did win that challenge with the hand above your head. Though Jason folded.
